Why Education Is A Must?
Education is a process in which students learn something and transmits their knowledge and skills from one generation to another with the help of institutions. Education has a formative effect on the mind, character, or physical ability of an individual.
The right to education has been described as a basic human right: since 1952, Article 2 of the first Protocol to the European Convention on Human Rights obliges all signatory parties to guarantee the right to education. At the world level, the US International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights of 1996 guarantees this right under its Article 13.
Primary Education is also known as elementary education and it consists of the first few years of the structured education. Globally, almost more than 70% of the children at the age of 5 to 6 are enrolled in Primary Education.
Under the Education programmed by UNESCO, almost all the countries have committed to achieve universal enrollment by 2015.In many countries, it has also become compulsory to receive Primary Education for the children between the age group of 5 to 6. In many countries, Primary educations are often subdivided into infant and junior schools.
Secondary education is the second year of the formal education during the period of Adolescence. It is also called high schools, gymnasiums, lyceums, middle schools, etc. depending on the system of the school. This education is mainly for the children who are in their teenage years. In the United States and Canada, the Primary and Secondary education are together referred as k-12 education, and moreover in New Zealand1-13 tear is used to describe that whether the child is in primary or secondary. The main importance of giving secondary education to the students is to give basic or common knowledge and moreover to prepare for higher education or to give training regarding the profession which they like. The rise of secondary education in the United States is caused by the rise in big businesses and emergence of electrification (technological advances) and to meet that demand they required skilled workers so that they are able to do this new job effectively and efficiently and their curriculum is also based on practical job skills and this shows important for both the employer and the employee and the employee gets higher wages than other employees who has just done primary education. In countries like Europe the grammar school existed in the 1500s.
One of the non-compulsory levels of education is Higher education. It is the third stage or post secondary education. This education is usually taken to do undergraduate, postgraduate and vocational training and education which can be done through colleges and universities. This education is also called tertiary education and generally it results in the form of diplomas, certificates, or degrees. In almost all the developing countries most of the people do higher education in their lives and it is essential for the national economy.
Education has almost become international. At all the levels the exchange among the students plays an important role. In Europe, the Socrates-Erasmus Programme exchanges the students across European countries and also the Soros Foundation provides many opportunities for students from Central Asia and Eastern Europe. In Islam, education is very essential and encouraged for both the males and females and for young children also to have all types of knowledge whether it is Academic, Vocational, Religious or Scholar in whatever age they are.
Adults impart the education to the young in the knowledge and skills and values all they have in a most effective and efficient way and this knowledge has increased exponentially in the country .Now days some kind of education is necessary for the people in almost all the countries. Due to the increase in the population in the country, UNESCO has thought that in the next 30 years most of the people will receive basic education than in all of human history till now.
